New accomodation structure for pilgrims of the Via Francigena. From March to September, the Parish of Santa Maria Nuova in Viterbo offers accomodation by donation to pilgrims on the road.
L’Ospitale del Pellegrino can be found in the medieval historic centre, in Via san Pellegrino, 49. The structure receives pilgrims by donation, the offers given are used to cover the costs to host pilgrims and offer necessary services. The structure has 12 beds, two showers and can hold up to 10 pilgrims in sleeping bags on the floor.
For interested pilgrims, there is also a pilgrim benediction available in the church of San Pellegrino. The blessing is offered to all Christian pilgrims travelling the Via Francigena.
Hostel opening period: From March to September. From 15:30 – 19:30. Notice in advance is advised.
